My mad-dash-on-Friday's-lunch-for-Friday-night-outfit outfit:- Elvis tshirt, Tee and Cake, £20High waisted silky heart print shorts, Topshop, £35 Ah, Sunday. Clinging onto the remaining fibres of the weekend. Wondering how to round it off nicely in a way which will not incur too much fed-up-ness-at-the-rapid-onslaught-of-Monday. Feeling inclined towards The Wolfman at 8.30 at Hyde Park Picture House, although have heard it's a bit rubbish so it's all up in the air at the mo. But our stupid bathroom is out of order, macerator stopped working, whatever that is, so can't stand in bath full of icy water to shower, wash from the sink full of the same, or utilise the toilet without the aid of a flush! Aaaaaah. Hence my keenness to make oneself scarce for the night. If the plumber can't fix it tomorrow we'd better be put up in the Hilton for the week. Aww can't wait! Something also making me a bit fed up-how come I wasn't born a Vanessa Paradis? S…

All I have to do, is dream, dream dream dream, dream.

Some things I wish to purchase with my wage pennies tomorrow, my first full-time wage pennies at that:- Topshop pastel green long chiffon topNew Look black canvas wedge pumpsTee and Cake Queen (slashed back) or Elvis (standard back) tshirtTopshop navy basic oversized top with ruched necklineH and M red wedgesASOS exposed cup chiffon black and pastel pink body con wrap dressSome deep blue jeggingsPrimark denim shirtHmm we'll see. Out to eat Indian and slurp beverages back in Manch tomorrow, I'm picturing my black high waisted jeans and leather jacket and nude suede wrap heels with either the Elvis/Queen tshirt or pale mint green chiffon top. Damn forgot to re-paint my toenails.I am being good though because I'm paying off the £225 I owe on my Topshop card tomorrow and closing it foreverrrrrr! I can't wait! Evil store cards. Last time I ever do this, promise. Yes promising myself. And yes I'll be rewarding myself by purchasing something from Topshop, what of it??Als…

I thought it would be rather relevant to my own current thinking, to post this pic of Anna Wintour at this week's Burberry show at LFW. The reason being that I'm reading her biography at the moment, Front Row by Jerry Oppenheimer. It's brrrilliant. Did you know she once dated Bob Marley? And she is even MORE of an ice queen than her public image has you believe. Everything they say about her is true, there are loads of extracts of info from her former friends who obviously don't think twice about saying quite harsh things about her. Still, if only to have her career!!! Here she is in another one of those REAL furs she loves. Tres terrible. She looks nowhere near 60 though. Hmm wonder if there's something in those furs.....joking. Alexa and Pixie at the Henry Holland show, making me want to don some denim pronto. Ms Huntington-Whiteley at the Burberry show....oh to be Rosie! Before I retire to read up on a little more of the Wintour's life (I need to re-…

You passed through my walls and entered my life in waves

I paaaaaassed! I am now a graduate of the driving theory test. I scored 47/50 on the questions and 69/75 on the hazard perception. Next stop-getting the real test out of the way; my main goal for this year and I hope I achieve it! Not too sure how long I'll leave it til actually purchasing a motor though, have a few motherly and overdrafterly debts to shift first. I found out at Leeds Guide today that I've been invited to the preview screening of A Passionate Woman, which is Kay Mellor's next production and which I interviewed her about at Studio 81, where they were filming, back in November. So I'm v excited for that. Billie Piper stars in it and she was there at the time, she looked blooming lovely, and much tinier that you'd expect, as they usually do. 'Them'. Anyway Kay and Billie are supposed to be at the screening too, at Hyde Park Picture House. This is the interview I did with Kay... http://www.leedsguide.co.uk/review/interview/kay-mellor/12711 He…

Panic over. I'm still alive!

I've been a bit rubbish again, yes I have. But, I have my driving theory on Monday at 2.30pm so with the day of reckoning beckoning, I have been dutifully and solely revising every time I've been at my comp. I did a mock test last night and got 47/50, and you need 43 to pass so got a bit giddy then reminded myself not to count my chickens just yet. Fingers crossed though! Don't want to be forking out £31.00 again with a £65.00 practical test yet to take. Hopefully soon, lemme at that open road!! Anyway.......here's a pic of me and my beautiful blushing bride cousin Laura at her Lake District wedding, she looked amazing, yep even at 3am when this pic was taken. I hope I look that flawless on my big day! I went with the sailor dress, it was a hit! It was such a good day, and night, and next morning.....drank from 3 in the afternoon upon arriving at the hotel, til 4am the next morning! Oh and I did indeed well up very much, I was overcome by emotion! Lucky I can alw…

I'm still a poorly girl. Had to stay home again and not go to Leeds Guide (http://www.leedsguide.co.uk/). God, being ill is boring. The most productive thing I've done, besides updating this of course, is putting in a washing load, and that felt so strenous that I was nearly sick again, like my horrid near-experience in the shower this morning. Also, I have had to let down Adam Green who will have been eagerly waiting to read my review of his gig on Sunday. Oh well, I'm sure he'll understand, and it will be worth it when he reads what I eventually write when I'm better and sends me some free merchandise and gig tickets. So, here's what else is on my mind. The weekend. (The thing on my mind 99% of the time, to be fair.) The weekend's impending wedding, to be precise. Ah, weddings. I love love love them, they bring out the sissy in me. So as I am about to see my cousin Laura bound in matrimony in Windermere on Sunday, I am risking looking like a big girl whe…

One post in, and I'm already a right lazy blogger. I did not intend on turning into this kind of person, and blogging has been on my mind daily. However, I have had my reasons for keeping any possible reader(s) in suspense about my life for 9 whole wintry days. My feet barely touched upon homely soil all week due to my extensive Play Week schedule. Since being properly reunited with my carpet on Sunday eve, I have fully embraced being a little bit lazy. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead was a blast; I fully have the Acting Bug now, and can't wait for it to infect me further. I can see why people claim to become addicted to the applause and cheers of a live audience. My next theatrical encounter with Leeds Arts Centre arrives this coming Thursday, when I will be attending a reading of The Dresser. Auditions next week-watch this space! To keep you going, see below for a splendid dressing room photo of Polonius (my dad), Ophelia (me), Gertrude (Hamlet's mum), and Claudiu…
