Five New-Season Trends Giving Me Life this January

Every January, the supposed bleakness of the post-festive period begs us to consider what we can possibly look forward to now? Our social feeds are awash with dramatically whiny memes and marketing initiatives provide us *actual* specific dates on which we’re meant to feel oh-so depressed, all at the same time. But we know better, don’t we? Because, come on; there is plenty to look forward to. Such as...brand spanking new FASHUN! Refreshing our wardrobes, whether that means shopping the sales or simply putting together new daily lewks with pieces we already own, is just the tonic at this time of year. And though we already saw the trends about to dominate SS19 on runways months ago, the time is now to start giving them an airing.  Here are a few I’m really looking forward to wearing:

I was lucky enough to attend London Fashion Week this year, after being invited to the Heartland Models show at Hoxton Arches in Shoreditch by the designer Chanel Joan Elkyam.
